OOTD November the 6th

Standard

This is today’s outfit of the day post. It was a very very casual day, as I only went to two classes.

Sorry about the poor quality, I had to use my laptop because my camera is dying.

So here I have those Mustard tights spotlighted in an earlier post. I paired it with cut off jeans shorts. I also wore a plain black sweater with a grey tank top layered underneath.

Since it was so casual of an outfit, I used this bohemian style bag as a backpack and purse.

You can see I am pushing up my large glasses, and on my feet I wore simple sneaker style flats. It was just super comfortable and I would like to believe somewhat stylish.

So that was my OOTD!

Coming up in my posts I have a drink recipe and a dessert recipe. So yay! I look forward to sharing those!

Wednesday’s Fashion Item: # 1 Mustard Tights.

Standard

It is the middle of the week. We are half done with the week, but we still have half to go. So, I thought why not start something interesting for my blog on Wednesdays. I will be choosing an item each Wednesday, and spotlighting it, and wearing it.

I am kind of a sucker for tights. They are well… simply adorable. For any girl that loves to wear skirts and dresses year round they are definitely a mainstay. I usually own dark tights. Greens, Blacks, Blues, Browns, but a few months ago when I was browsing the Forever 21 site I came across these opaque yellow tights. They were adorable, so I got them.

Now that the cold weather if finally upon us, I get to take these bad-boys out and wear them!

They are definitely my favourite fashion item this week!

The first way that I found to wear it is with a cute patterened peter-pan collar dress. This seems almost like a classic (Can any one else see Goldie Hawn giggling in a dress like this?)

The dress is a mini dress and paired with another patterned scarf, platform shoes and a leather jacket.

Another way that I found how to wear these Mustard tights is with high-waisted shorts over them, and a patterned shirt.

With these, she pairs them with loafers and a cardigan.

They are just so autumn-y.

Here are a few other inspirational outfits to try out!

In my next post, which will be an OOTD, I will show you how I am wearing them!!

Do you guys also take the peter-pan collar off of your baby’s outgrown clothing and sew it onto your own? I don’t know how many times I look at her clothing and thought, “Geez I wish they made things like this for adults!”. Well after taking her clothing to buy-and-sell baby clothing places, and after they only bought the boys clothes, I set the clothing in a box waiting to take it to the Salvation Army. It has been sitting in my closet taking up too much space and being forgotten every time we go to the thrift store. Looking through the clothes, I realized that much of it is stained from food and well, I will be honest, POOP STAINS. Are they going to sell these or just throw them away? Most likely throw them away. So, sad. So many cute patterns, scrumptious buttons, and….. peter-pan collars.

Honestly, why the heck not make them into bows, collect the buttons, and use the collars?! I love having cute cloth to work with!!! 🙂

(**Sorry for the blurry pictures, I guess I kept moving!)
